  Storing Foods at Room Temperature
  • Check foods for the "sell by," "use by" or expiration dates that will tell you how long they can be stored.

  • Keep room-temperature foods in a cool, dry place for maximum freshness.
  • Avoid cupboards in areas over the stove or microwave, near the dishwasher or above the refrigerator because they tend to be warm.
